Creative Writing
The samples below highlight my flexibility in writing styles through incorporating creative writing with research. Each sample utilizes a writing style that takes a close eye to nature and analyzes its association with my personal experiences.
Grandmother Willow
Written for a nature-based writing course in 2021, this creative piece briefly looks at the history of my hometown, the natural landscape of my house, and contemplates the tether we all feel to our childhood homes.

Telescope Road
This nonfiction creative piece combines research with a specific focus on nature to delve into the history of Potter County, Pennsylvania. "Telescope Road" reflects on the changes that Potter County experienced throughout decades of indigenous settlements, colonization, and lumber mills, while also acknowledging the way way this land serves as a bridge for human connections.
